Working the Seasons

Work abroad, arranged properly.

We help you find work abroad that suits you: seasons in hotels and restaurants across Finland, above all the winter season in Lapland. Before you apply, we give you the clearest picture we can of the job, the pay, the conditions and what the employer expects. We stay with you from the first conversation until you start, and we remain reachable after that if something is not as agreed.

No suitable opening right now? Leave your details anyway. With your consent we will get in touch when one comes up.

What you will know before you say yes.

Why it is arranged this way.

We have worked seasons abroad ourselves, eight of them across five countries, in kitchens and on restaurant floors. We have had the good ones and the ones where the job turned out to be something other than what was promised. Honest information and the right expectations are how we keep that from happening to you.

A season in Lapland is long, dark and busy. It is respected on a hospitality CV, and for some people it becomes more than one season.

Tell us about yourself.

A few lines are enough. Mirette or Maidu reads it personally and replies to tell you honestly what fits, now or later on. No field is mandatory, but leave us at least one way to reach you.

For example: cook, waiter, bartender, reception, housekeeping.

A month is fine.

A few lines about what you have done. Attach your CV to the email that opens when you press the button. Work history, skills and languages are enough: no ID code, no ID copies, no health or family details. A photo is your choice.

Your message arrives in our Gmail inbox and is read only by Maidu and Mirette. We delete it three months after our last exchange, sooner if you ask, unless you tick the box above or we present you to an employer. How we handle your details.

The button opens your email program with what you typed, addressed to workingtheseasons@gmail.com; you send it from there. You can also just write to us directly.
